The company was incorporated in the year 1999 by its founder Mr. Dhanesh Prasad. Today, CEPL is a 1000 million INR group with 3 manufacturing units at Patna, Kanpur, and Kolkata. It has a complete in-house testing facility to ensure the highest standard of quality is maintained to meet with international and domestic standards.
The company offers a diverse portfolio ranging from Safety Shoes, Safety Uppers, Safety gloves, and Formal Shoes.

QUALITY STANDARDS
Competence Exports Pvt. Ltd. is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Company and operates in accordance with Quality Management System. This provides the customer total confidence in our product quality which is regularly monitored and audited.
CEPL has an in-house testing laboratory wherein all raw materials like leathers, soles, lining materials, toe caps, etc., and also final products are tested according to strict criteria to ensure performance and compatibility.
Moreover, we also get our products tested at reputed testing laboratories regularly to ensure the highest level of quality products that can be used in various fields of application.
CEPL product have been tested to the Directive for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to EN ISO 20345:2022.
Our Safety Footwear has also been tested in accordance with the Bureau of Indian Standards as per IS:15298.
